The history of the
Penguin brand dates back to the meeting of Abbot Peder and a penguin. A
Penguin was bought from a taxidermist at a street corner, and Abbot brought with him on the plane and charming hostess donned him with a neck-tie. Upon his return to Minneapolis, with the unprecedented scene in mind, Abbot imagines the golfer then brand chic and a bit sporty, named Penguin. Adopted by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and many other celebrities of the fifties, the brand still retains the style and retro chic appeal that ensured its success.
